Morning Oh Ye Happy Dons,

Apologies for the late update. It has been one of those weeks and I have been a tad slammed.
First up the reviews from last week and this time ANOTHER clean sweep - including a cup progression from the ladies. Get in!

1st XV 57 Bracknell 13 - Match report here
2nd XV 32 Guildford 5 - Match report here
3rd XV 46 Guildford 17 - no match report

Some great wins on a jolly cold Saturday - great work chaps.
Now onto the Ladies:

Hammersmith & Fulham Ladies 5 - 5 Wimbledon Ladies

On Sunday the ladies team made the short journey to SW6 to play Hammersmith and Fulham in the cup. It was a very evenly played match with the majority of the play taking place in the middle section of the pitch. The ladies were first to score with a try from Zoe Leake unfortunately the try was not converted. The Ladies dominated for large periods of the second half, however on 78 minutes Hammersmith and Fulham saw an opening and levelled the scoring, they were unable to convert their try. On full time with a quick check of the laws they went into extra time, with the scores level at the final whistle after a total of 95 minutes of rugby as the away team Wimbledon Ladies move through to the next round of the cup. We would like to thank Cheese and Taz who both stepped in to help this weekend. This Sunday they are away to Plymouth Albion.

OK a free weekend for the 3rd XV this Saturday but all other teams will in action.

Congratulations to Mick and the team for running a thoroughly successful comedy night last night. Words reach my ears that it was a thoroughly successful evening.
In other news the 3rd XV can now be spotted wearing bright pink Wimbledon RFC polo shirts. Some say this is a response to requests from the door staff of various Wimbledon establishments so that they can spot Paul Shearer easily and any of his associates. Other say it was the result of massive in-fighting about the colour of these tops and that Captain Taff had enough and said if they were going to squabble like 5 year old girls - they would look like 5 year old girls. ANyway - they don't half look dashing.

This Sunday the Ladies (as above) make one of their long journeys of the season. If you are in dire need of a bus trip - get involved and go and watch them away to Plymouth and join in with the massive craic that our fine females have every week.

Don't forget NEXT SATURDAY - WRFC CHRISTMAS PARTY. No tickets - no fuss - no taste.

Christmas jumpers galore and good times for all. Bring your partners, friends, sacrificial lambs, a child's board game to keep Nick Evans interested, your own sense of fun and bags loads of enthusiasm.
Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, Good Tunes and Good mates.
See you there.

See you Saturday.

Big Love

Badger
