Tuesday tidy up of the weekend's results.

Hello you particularly mighty Dons!

Well Storm Angus might have held the headlines but it was a storm of claret and blue over the weekend in SW London...... I know - I don't even get paid for this awesome journalistic jingoism!

The 1st XV welcomed Colchester to Beverley Meads on Saturday; a team with an impressive record this season and so this was no easy task. The result didn't show this with Wimbledon running away 62-7 winners. The match report is, as ever, online.

The 2nd XV also welcomed Westcombe Park to the club and also put up a big scoreline with a thoroughly impressive 26-7 victory, helping coach Marc Bertrand, take his mind of certain international results....... viva Italia and all that.

The 3rd XV.... the Mavericks (repeatedly beats head into wall) ........also continued their unbeaten season with yet another fine display coming out 84-14 victors over Old Haileyburians.

The sweeping of cleaning did not end there with the Ladies XV being determined not to be outdone on Sunday:

Guildford Gazelles 22 - 41 Wimbledon Ladies

The ladies team traveled the short distance down the A3 to Guildford on Sunday to play in the second round of the cup. From the off Wimbledon seemed to be the much more organised side, the set piece worked well, they dominated both the scrums and the lineout giving the backs the opportunity to play running rugby. The ladies dominated the scoreline, however there were several lapses in concentration which enabled Guildford to get into the game, in the end Wimbledon were comfortable winners, with tries from Emily Martin, Zoe Leake, Alex Chung, Hannah Gutteridge and Jo Bradley Wimbledon move into the third round of the cup. Their next game is away to Bath Ladies on 3rd December.

So quite the weekend all round!

This weekend - let's do it all again. Well done to everyone involved.
It's safe to say the club is in a very good state of order.

Big Love

Badger
