Afternoon all ye Mighty Dons!

Apologies for the delay in comms this week. It's been a hectic one. However there is loads to tell you so PLEASE read through to the end!

Ok so onto last weekend's herculean efforts.

The 1st XV had a very rewarding return to winning ways with a 57-0 victory at home to Eton Manor. You can read the match report here. Many congratulations to all involved for a fab Ladies and Old boys day as well at the club on Saturday - it was a resounding success.
In addition to this the 2nd XV also had a good run out with a 23-0 victory away to Guildford. The third team unfortunately had yet another opposition cry off from game time and that left the Ladies - with an away trip to Trojans in Southampton. Unfortunately the ladies ran in second place with a 21-0 loss. Match report below:

On Sunday the ladies traveled to top of the league Southampton Trojans and put in a brilliant performance. Having come down from the league above Trojans are unbeaten this season and have been putting cricket scores past most teams. The ladies fought hard and made Trojans work for their points, at half time the score was 0 - 0 and it could have gone either way, however a mistake by the ladies led to Trojans first try, it was still pretty even at this point, however with 20 minutes to go Trojans pilled on the pressure and eventually came out on top 3 tries to the good. However, if the ladies take that performance to London Welsh at the weekend we could be in for a great game

OK onto this weekend. There is no 1st XV or 3rd XV fixture leaving the 2nd XV representing the men's club with a home fixture against London Cornish with a 1.30pm KO. The ladies, as above, play London Welsh, away at 2.30pm, on Sunday.

Ok onto the meat and two veg of the missive:

This WEEKEND:

The club is open all weekend. Yes - that's right - all weekend. Mick is showing all the 6 nations games - including tonight's game. - The 2nd XV are at home and Mick is virtually giving away four pint jugs tomorrow at a tenner a pop. You will find no better value for rugby viewing in Wimbledon. Simples.

He is also showing the Connaught vs Ospreys game at 7.30pm tomorrow evening and both premiership games on Sunday with Exeter vs Bath at 12pm and Wasps vs Quins at 3pm. Do come down if you find yourself in need of refreshment to enjoy your avid rugby viewing.
