Good Evening ye mighty Dons!

Ok here is a swift round up from the weekend.

The 1st XV went down (only very very just) 22-21 to a Guernsey team who simply flew out of the blocks. Incredible game. Match report is here
The 2nd XV won 15-7 away to Battersea Ironsides (always a good feeling) - keeping them at the top of their table. No match report at this time - but some happy noises coming from their coach.
The third XV game was cancelled but a swift fixture exchange against Old Ruts proved another victory for the mighty 3s with a 39-7 victory.
The Ladies fixture against Rosslyn Park also fell flat as the opposition couldn't quite manage the numbers. However with the very large numbers being enjoyed by our girls, a friendly fixture was held which saw our girls end up winners - but at least a game was had by all.

Now onto this weekend.

Here come the fixtures:
1st XV vs Colchester (a)
2nd XV vs Blackheath (h)
3rd XV vs Sutton and Epsom (h)
Ladies XV vs Teddington (h)

Now - onto a bit of club management. It has been bought to my attention that the chaps and the lasses are seemingly becoming like two separate clubs. Lets all get behind each other at the weekend. Ladies - when was the last time you came to see the chaps play? Equally - lads - when did you last spend an hour walking off that hangover getting behind the girls? This weekend is particularly pivotal for the ladies as it will be the toughest fixture of their season - and they lost their last run out by a single point - we all know how irksome that is! They would love a full touch line this season - so let's start getting behind each other and riding that wimbledon spirit.

Keep your eyes on this space as we have some 6 Nations parties in the offing coming up - so lets start showing off the club to our friends from outside of the club and drinking Mick dry!

Speaking of Northern bar stewards - it may be a certain person's birthday this Thursday and a few of us will be having an ale or ten after training and touch to remind him how bad John Woods is at darts. Do feel free to stick around for a swift half!

Finally - some happy news - massive congratulations to former player Dave (Sharpie) Sharp and his fiancee Erin on the safe and happy birth of their daughter Eden Lindsay Rae on the 7th January. We all wish them well and love for their lives in Australia.

Right - that's enough from me. See you tomorrow and Saturday.

Big love

Badg
