This time it's the tech teams fault

Good Morning Ye Mighty Dons!

Well the weekend is over as is the 6 nations - I do hate it when the six nations are over. Fantastic from Ireland - managed to ruin my England celebrations but fair play to them.

Righty ho - onto the weekend's news.
On Saturday our vets team headed to Kingston RFC to help out in their chairty day in a game with a little help from our pals at Old Paulines. Really good community day out and nice to be a part of.
Unfortunately the home side were only just strong to win this friendly 26-19.

On Sunday however the Ladies were away to Bristol - for much more serious league rugby and the below is from Anna:

Bristol Ladies 27 - 7 Wimbledon ladies

On Sunday the ladies traveled to Bristol to play Bristol Ladies 2s. Unfortunately Bristol were unable to field a front row, Wimbledon were awarded the walkover and the points leaving them safe in the league and playing championship rugby again next season. Even though the points had already been awarded the game was played as a friendly. There is no game next week, the ladies will play their final game of the season again Bath Ladies at home on Sunday 9th April

This week the season restarts for the final push towards the end of the season and for our 1st team - what is looking very likely to be a play-off situation for promotion to National League 2. With this is mind and the weather getting better - it would be great to see as many people as possible down on a Saturdays to support the lads, as well as on a Sunday for the Ladies, to really boost the community we have here.

This Friday sees the big COMEDY NIGHT at the club which we have been banging on about. This will be seriously good gang - and if you have to play on Saturday it will be a nice way to spend your evening to relax before Saturday's exertions. Tickets will be available on the door but you can pre-book using the online booking form found on Here

Training this week is back to normal. So if you are not training and haven't told Bully - please do so.

Also - a quick note - if you have home fixtures outside of the calendar, or if they are cancelled suddenly - please can all coaches and team managers make Shaun, the club steward, aware for catering purposes - many thanks.

Finally - SUPPORTERS POLO SHIRTS. These have been ordered - they are in production and I will be giving out the payment details at the end of this week.

OK - that's enough from me. I'm off to finalise my pub chat for Lions selection and prepare for the inevitable rows about the following topics: second row choices / captain / replacement full backs / Kiwi foul play, off-sides etc and should Cipriani be considered. That should keep you all going.

Have a great week

Big Love

Badger
