Happy Year of the Pig Ye Mighty Dons!

Happy Year of the Pig Ye Mighty Dons!

A bit late from me this week - apologies for that.

Well that was quite a weekend. The start of the 6 Nations proved that it is indeed the premier rugby tournament in the world with some amazing matches........ especially the England one! What's also great was we have started showing all the games at the club house - and so if you miss a game on the Saturday - you can catch it on the Sunday. The aim is to have our club house showing the games as a club house should.

In other closer to home rugby news the 2nd XV travelled to Richmond to pay the Saxons and, in a very tough encounter, came home second with a 12-8 scoreline. However it was a very tough opposition and word reaches me that this was a stirring performance from the 2s.

Sunday saw the Ladies XV travel to Ellingham and Ringwood and with not long to go were losing, but a stirring final quarter saw our Ladies get home with a thrilling 10-12 victory! Bravo and well done Ladies!

Congratulations to all who wore the colours this weekend.

This weekend sees the 1st XV travel to Chingford for a 2.30 kick off; the 2nd XV are at home to Barnes: the Mavericks of the 3rd XV are at home to the Rosslyn Park Mad Hatters and the Strollers of the 4th XV have Merton away!

More than that ALL the 6 Nations game are being shown at the Clubhouse. THIS SUNDAY the clubhouse will be open with food and drinks for the England vs France game as well, so its a perfect venue for you to take the family to. Safe, spacious and loads of rugby action...... it might also be my birthday - so it would be lovely to see you all there..... ahem.

Anyway - that's enough from me. Have a great week and I'll email the team sheets out on Friday.

Big Love

Badger
