This is it

Well a very good afternoon Ye Mighty Dons!

This is it!

We have arrived. The last weekend of the league season is here! Good grief! What a ride it's been. So before we look ahead - lets check on last weekend.

Well only two games happened with the 3s game being cancelled.

The 2nd XV travelled to Hertford and played a tough away fixture which saw them unfortunately come home on a 26-12 defeat. Unlucky lads!

However many eyes were at Barham Road, where, after a hearty VPs lunch, attentions turned pitchside to see the 1st XV continue their valiant efforts to stay in National 2. Their opponents were Old Redcliffians - and much to the delight of the onlooking Dons fans - the boys really turned it on - running in 55-17 victors. You can read a really cracking Tony Mann report here.

Word must go out to the St George's boys who, having played on the adjoining pitch - rushed to help a travelling fan who was taken ill pitchside and had to be taken to hospital. Thankfully he has made a full recovery and he would like to send his warmest thanks to those who helped him. Fair play to all involved who help show the true character of our sport.

So this weekend. Well - you can't say it any better than - it's on. The 1st XV travel to Barnstaple looking for 5 points to keep us in National 2. This does depend on one other result - but - we can only do what we can do. So - a large contingent of supporters - plus a minibus full of strollers are headed down to cheer on the lads. I am literally wetting myself with excitement. Let's finish with a massive tour contingent to end this season!

If you can't make it to Barnstaple - it is a long way - the 2nd XV are at home for a 2pm kick off against Ealing Amateurs, and I know they would love your support.

It's do or die time. Let's get behind the chaps in claret and blue. Please keep your eyes on social media this Friday for the team sheets, as your dear scribe will be on the fun bus to Barnstaple.

Blazers

Now - have you seen a number of Dons looking tres chic this season in their resplendent Dons blazers? They are quite hard to miss.
Want to look like one of them? Want to wear your Dons colours with pride next season?
Well now you can. We are making more - and you can own one! Yes, it's happening! Please email your interest to Hodgy :ahodgo@hotmail.com ahodgo@hotmail.com

He will come back with requests for your sizes - and of course - for you older Dons - these are kept in a sealed vault.

Right - that's enough from me. I'm too excited to type any more. See you in Barnstaple. Come on the DONS!

Big love

Badger
