Another fine weekend

Howdy Ye Mighty Dons!

Another cracking weekend of high intensity sporting action has been and gone - so let's have a gander at the results!

The 1st XV recorded a stirring win away at Shelford with a 17-45 victory. The match report (albeit a tad brief) is online and ready for a read.
This result puts Wimbledon just 2 points behind league leaders Tonbridge Juddians - this is exciting just typing about it!

The 2nd XV also recorded an away win at Shelford 5-38 - showing some great strength and depth in this seasons Don's crop!
Pictures did circulate after the match of the team in classic rugby tops of the old school. Brilliant stuff - for more like this make sure you check out the Wimbledon RFC facebook page!

On Sunday the Ladies were at home to Drybrook - and Anna has sent me in her Monday sum up:

Wimbledon Ladies 5 - 27 Drybrook Ladies

Yesterday the ladies welcomed Drybrook to Wimbledon and it really was a game of two halves. The first half was dominated by Wimbledon, they showed great strength in attack and defense, they were unfortunately were not to be able to capitalise on this play, their try came from new wing Laura. The second half Drybrook upped their game and took control of play. Next week the ladies are away to Guildford

Finally - it is great to see Shaun stepping into his new role as club steward. If you haven't met him - do stick your paw over the bar and introduce yourselves. He is a really nice guy.

Right - that's enough from me, I have to go and get my badger suit cleaned for all the Christmas parties up and coming.
Have a good one everyone!

Big Love

Badger
