What a weekend!

Well Hullo and Good Evening you Mighty Dons!

What a weekend that was! Cracking stuff from the men in white at Twickenham to go for an unbeaten season. I must admit there was an air of hangover about the sett yesterday and I fear I may have slept in with the christmas tree. Why do they make Guinness so drinkable?!

Anyway - onto more local matters with the results from the weekend and a few notices after the reports:

The 1st XV welcomed Guernsey to Barham road and ran out an impressive 39-14 winners. The match report is online now here

The 2nd XV welcomed Canterbury Pilgrims and ran out winners with a very exciting 28-21 scoreline.

Yesterday the Ladies travelled to Bath and Anna has kindly sent me in the following:

Bath Ladies 50-7 Wimbledon Ladies

Yesterday the ladies travelled to Bath play a well drilled and strong Bath side who have drawn one game and won the rest this season. In a game where the score does not reflect the effort and determination the ladies put in, the forwards dominated the scrum and did not let the Bath forwards out muscle them. The majority of the Bath tries were break away tries and do not reflect the game, Wimbledon's try came from wing Emily Martin and was converted by captain Hannah Gutteridge. Next week the ladies are at home to Drybrooke.

Well done to all who donned the claret and blue over the weekend.

Under 21s
Some of you have been asking about the U21s season at Christmas - well I have the current fixture list here so you can go and support:

21st – Home – KCS - A
24th – Away – friendly v RUTS, combined (with some U18s to make the numbers)
30th – Away- Cobham – B
4th Jan – Home -Effingham – B

It would be really great to have a full touchline to cheer on the future of the club... and possibly have a pint or ten!

NYE Party:
It is with some sadness that we are having to cancel our NYE fixture this year due to some unforeseen circumstances - but fear not there will be festivities afoot come the new year.

Shaun:
On that note - and ending on a chipper high note -we would like to officially welcome Shaun to the club who has now fully taken over as our new steward. Please do make yourself known to him when you can and make him feel a full part of this club as soon as possible.

Right - that's all from me this week. I'm off to soak the Guinness out of my fur.

Big Love

Badger
