Evenin' all

Apologies for a touch of radio silence on the wireless of late. Us badgers tend to be a touch dozy post christmas and I have been caught up in the middle of a sett migration.

Now onto last week's results. Unfortunately ti was tough going for a number of the teams. The 1st XV went down away to Colchester 48-34. There is no match report up at this time. The 2nd XV also went down, this time at home, in an absolute thriller against Blackheath 29-25.
Good news came in the form of a greatly-satisfying 39-0 win for the 3rd XV over local rivals Sutton and Epsom at home. There was at least a small piece of celebrating going on at Beverley Meads on Saturday night, before Don's stalwart Jim Green's 60th birthday.
Sunday came and the Ladies took to the pitch in a much-anticipated game against Teddington. Their first run out against them earlier in the season, which I mis-reported last week, was actually a win. However their luck was to run out on Sunday as they went down to a couple of late tries in the second half after a strong first half. Final score 18-10.

Right - onto this weekend - here come the fixtures:
1st XV vs London Irish Wild Geese (h)
2nd XV vs London Cornish (a)
3rd XV vs Teddington (a)

There is no Ladies fixture this weekend. SO we hope to see a touchline packed with Wimbledon's finest and hopefully a strong contingent in for lunch. In addition to this - we have a very large contingent of guests. O2's England fan base (the Rose Army) - whom they set up during the world cup and are looking to re-create for the 6 nations. They are coming for a grass-roots day out, to have lunch at our fab facility and support our 1st XV.Now I know we are a club of many nationalities but we are part of a rugby family and we would look forward to our club welcoming our guests. in the correct manner. Although I am sure I can expect to see a few all black tops kicking about.

Now apologies for the delay in tour details - they will be on the way ASAP!

Right - that's enough from me - I'll send out any updates on Friday.

Have a good one.

Big love

Badger
