End of season

Good Evening Ye Mighty Dons!

So last weekend drew to a close the league fixtures for season 2017/2018 - and it's been a real roller coaster of a season.

First of all - let's run through the results from last weekend.

The 1st XV travelled to Barnstaple, and despite bucket loads of fans who travelled down, it was not be as they went down 17-14.
You can read the final match report of the season here.
The 2nd XV finished their season with a really hard fought victory against Ealing, coming in with 36-32 victors.

Congratulations to all who wore the jersey.

So what next?
Well last weekend saw a great club spirit and camaraderie as old and young alike travelled to Barnstaple to cheer on the 1st XV. Next Monday 7th, a bank holiday no less, sees four Dons side in actions at the Esher finals day! Its an all day round up to the a number of seasons and all the Dons teams could do with your support. It's at Esher RFC and will be a day for the whole club.
This season, even though it didn't end for the 1st XV as they had hoped, it was still the one which saw them reach the highest leagues position in Wimbledon history. After a season like that - it wont be long 'til we are straight back up! Fab season lads! We are all very proud of you - so enjoy your summer rest before you come roaring back!

For everyone else in the senior club - it is your chance for silverware! The rest of you now you know where to be next Monday! All of you! Make it so!

End of Season Dinner
This is next Friday 11th May - £30 a ticket and there is much to celebrate this year. The club is in rude health and time is running out for you to get your tickets. So get your emails and funds into Anna ASAP.

Right - only one more update from me pretty much - that's next week after finals day.

Congrats to everyone who has had the joy of wearing the claret and blue this season.
It's been emotional.

Big love

Badger
