3 wins from 4

Good Day to Ye Mighty Dons!!!

and a jolly happy Tuesday to you all and all of that. First of all it was lovey to see so many old faces (some older than others) on Saturday for King James's inaugural Presidential lunch. Full credit goes to Shaun and his team for a wonderful offering and super day. It was also an opportunity for Jim, on behalf of the club as a whole, to say Thank You to outgoing President Mike Keane, ably supported by his long-suffering wife Pam! All of us at Wimbledon doth our caps to you for your service and wish Jim as long, and as successful a Presidency!

Now onto the rugby!

Saturday saw the 1st XV welcome Dorking to Beverley Meads in an intriguing game of two halves! The Dons eventually ran out 29-19 winners! You can read the forthcoming match report here

The 2nd XV faced Esher Cardinals in a very tough match and once again the Dons prevailed 33-17 in a classic fixture!

The Mavericks of the 3rd XV had a weekend off, but the Strollers of the 4th XV welcomed Old Ruts 2nd XV to the club. In a close fixture, against a notably young side a good game was had, but the Dons unfortunately came in second 40-46.

Sunday saw the Ladies XV FINALLY get to play at home against a previously unknown opposition of Ellingham and Ringwood. The Ladies scored a tenacious and gritty win of 31-29. You can read their match report here!

So that's last weekend - well done to all wore the claret and blue.

Our next big event is the City lunch on November 30th. You can see the details online but last year was a great success and this year we have the legendary Jason Leonard as our guest. Tickets are just £90 - a steal! There posters all over the club about this - so do get yourself involved. Get a group together is the best way to buy a table.

Ok that's enough from me. Have a great week and speak to you all soon.

Big Love
Badger
