Good evening oh ye mighty Dons!

Apologies for recent lack of communication regularity. The management at Badger Towers has all gone to pot following a recent fox infestation. However, we are working to get the problem solved as soon as possible.

Right - onto the round up from last weekend's action - and boy what a weekend it was.

The Wimbledon 1st XV came up against a very strong London Irish team, watched by a large crowd, and it was a heck of a nip tuck affair in the first half. Unfortunately the men in claret and blue - blighted by recent injuries, but stout of heart fell short by the final whistle 17-41. A scoreline that perhaps did not reflect the composure of the match. The match report is here

The second XV match was unfortunately cancelled by the opposition due to poor pitches at their end. They obviously don't have a groundskeeper Philly!
So the 3rd XV managed to provide some comfort for the Dons by beating Teddington - to exact some revenge on behalf of the ladies XV from the previous weekend. They ran out 10-71 winners away - to leave them firmly stood at the top of the table and flying the flag. Bravo chaps.

OK onto this weekend. No games.

"What's that?!" I hear you cry?! Yup - that's right - no games and unfortunately the club is hired for a private do this Saturday. So the 6 nations will have to be viewed elsewhere unfortunately - but at least we get back to have some international rugby to fill our bellies!

Next up - TOUR. Right - I know this has taken some time but I have the stuff. Tour/Club Captain / Massive German Chin - Dave Roberts is the man to contact - but I have put the details for the men's tour as an attachment. It's going to be loud, brash and thoroughly enjoyable. You know you want in! This is open to ALL MALE (no sniggering) members of the club - players and non-players. Get your responses into Mick or to Dave Roberts asap so we can collate numbers - and I do mean pronto.

There are probably other things to tell you but one of those pesky foxes has eaten my day book - darn it. Pesky little blighters.

Right - enough from me. See you all soon.

Big love

Badger
