The return of the badger

Well Hullo Ye Mighty Dons!

Jolly spiffing to be back from me hols and thank you to many of you who dropped me a line whilst I was away regarding nuptials and all that. Massive thanks to Woodsy and Meg who held the comms fort for me whilst I was away. So, on that note - lets get down to business!

First up - this weekend's action - and its a bumper feast of rugby all round.

Saturday sees the 1st XV welcoming Cinderford to Barham Road, whilst the 2nd XV host Old Albanians. The Maverick of the 3rd XV travel to Farnham to play their 2nd XV whilst the ever-young Strollers host the KCS old Boy's Blues at home. There is no fixture for the Ladies this weekend so that concludes the Senior sides fixtures.

As ever, a packed touchline is always a boost to our players in the claret and blue - so let's get out there on Saturday to support our teams!

Dates for the Diary!

On Saturday 9th December the Club will have an official opening for our newly renovated changing rooms. This ribbon-cutting effort will be performed by the Right Honorable Stephen Hammond MP - our local parliamentarian chappy! As ever - Shaun and Hayley will be dazzling us all with a fine lunch and if you would like to attend please email chair@wimbledonrfc.co.uk to book your spot. The official opening will take place at 12pm before lunch and there will be tours of the new facility from 11.30am. On the day there will be a minis rugby curtain raiser to the main event of the 1st XV taking on Broadstreet at home. This should be a corking day out!

Also DON'T FORGET - WRFC City Lunch. Yes there are still places available for this bad boy! This is on the 1st December and features guest speaker - the legendary Simon Shaw. Poster attached.

Final Gated Gripe

A last little reminder here. We have been contacted by the residents of Preston Road regarding the gate to the car park there. This should always be left locked if not in use. If you are the one to open it it is up to you to ensure it is closed and locked at the end of a session. If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact your age group leader or the committee. It is imperative we keep this gate secure to dissuade travelers from settling as well as keep the residents of Preston Road assured that we are doing our bit to help with unwanted fly-tipping in the area. I feel that's probably enough said on the matter - however PLEASE bear this in mind. We always want to be onside with our local residents.

OK - that's enough from me. Have a great week and see you Saturday.

Big Love

Badger
