Badger is back

Well Hello There Ye Mighty Dons

I'm back from my travels and getting settled back into my sett. Big thanks to Big John Woods for running the chat the last few weeks and not making it completely error-strewn! I owe you a beer sir!

Right - onto the news. Well what a week to come back?! Great to see the 1st XV get a superb win against a strong Clifton side with a score of 20-15. That man Dan Laventurne popping again in the right places! You can read the match report here

As an added bonus to the usual Saturday crowd at Barham Road, Wimbledon Ladies were also playing on the same day as the men, in their match against Reading Abbey. Unfortunately they could not quite emulate recent success, going down 10-33.

The 2nd XV were able to continue their recent run of great form with a cracking win at home against Tring with a 36-19 scoreline.

Those rogue-ish Mavericks of the 3rd XV also had a good win at home with a 32-14 victory over Esher Abbots.

Well done to all who "donned" (geddit....?!!!!) the claret and blue last week......... I'll get my coat.

Ok onto this week.

We start this weekend on Friday night with the 3rd XV heading over to KCS old Boys for a cup quarter final fixture.
Saturday sees the 1st and 2nd XVs travelling to Henley, and the strollers in the pub.... for a change. Plan your journeys now people as there is the match at Twickenham on Saturday so if you are going to watch the chaps - be prepared for possible delays.

The Ladies XV have a weekend off this week - unless I have been misinformed, which, let's be honest, has happened before.

So that's the run down of the senior rugby this week. Keep your eyes on the social media for the teams this Friday!

Shaun Barnes Fundraising

Thank you to the many of you that have messaged regarding Shaun Barnes fundraising. If you need the details see here. If you have any raffle prizes please let me know and I can work with the high commission for the event in March. I will be getting tickets for those who have applied - if you want to go and have not told me - please let me know.

I will be getting the account for donations as soon as I can and will pass that onto you all.

That's it from me this Wednesday. If you have any club wide messages you would like me to pass on - please do so. If you need me to focus on any of the youth teams - please also let me know.

Have a great week all!

Big Love

Badger
