Good Morning Ye Mighty Dons!

Good Morning Ye Mighty Dons!

A difficult day for your dear scribe. Whilst trimming the fur on my face I made an error and as a result have had to shave off my beard. I look ridiculous. The above picture was the nearest I could get to it - I actually look worse! Anyway - what a weekend of Dons actions. The fight for survival in National 2 goes on and boy is this going to the wire. Let's run through the results.

The 1st XV travelled to Broadstreet and after a pretty auspicious start - the chaps in claret and blue managed to come home 29-41 winners. Incredible stuff. You can read a gripping Tony Mann report here.

Meanwhile in Colchester, the 2nd XV looked to continue their fantastic season and came home wioth a resounding 7-34 win. Great stuff lads!

At home the Mavericks of the 3rd XV welcomed a strong Camberley 2nd XV to Barham Road. The final score was 14-54 in Camberley's favour, but it did not reflect the grit and guts that the home side put on show. They were struggling for numbers so big kudos to Sanner (Sandra) Hasan for stepping in to skipper the side and great to see a good level of touchline support.

This weekend sees the lunacy of the Vice-President's lunch - so we wish all in attendance a fab time. This will be the last home fixture of the season for the 1st XV as we welcome our guests from Old Redcliffians to Barham Road. The 2nd XV will be travelling to Hertford, whilst the 3rd XV will be travelling to ... er... Camberley...... wait... what?! AAAAAAAAnyway - it wil be great to see a packed clubhouse on Saturday for the last home fixture of the 1st XV - so get your glad rags on and see you at Barham Road.

Have a great week everyone.

Big Love
