We have some champions in our midst

Good Day to You Ye Mighty Dons!

It's finals weekend and boy have we got a load of rugby action to get through. Now attached to this missive is the official Surrey poster for the finals - but we have all the details here for the Saturday leg of the finals - which is being held at Beverley Meads!

Before we do this though - we have some champions amongst our midst!

We all pass our MAHOOSIVE congratulations to the Colts squad who won the Harlequins Cup to make them the best Colts side in Surrey. Huge effort chaps!
In ADDITION - our U15 girls side won the 7s cup as well as winning the Surrey cup! Future looks damned bright from here. Well done girls!

So what is up this weekend?
Ok so Saturday we are starting early doors with set up starting from 9.30am for a 12pm start. Now - if you want to help there are free bacon sarnies on the go for helpers. That's not a bad shout.

From 12 we have 16 teams from all across Surrey battling for silverware and eternal glory. One of the sides will be our very own Strollers team who kick off against Merton 3rd XV at 12pm. They could certainly do with a greatly-packed touchline to roar them home.

We also have a brand new line up for Finals Day:
- a spanking new BBQ menu
- fully stocked bar with fab new bar staff
- music from suspiciously familiar but in-house Wimbledon DJ

The final game kicks of at 3.30pm.

This is going to be one heck of a party - and it's a perfect way to kick off the bank holiday weekend!
Please note - by order of Surrey RFC - there is a £5 car park fee which we have to abide by - so please make sure you are prepared for that or get the bus! Don't want any punters getting surprised!

Then comes Monday and those Thirsty 3s are in action at Esher RFC in their Surrey final - as we hope to add to the season's silverware collection. It truly is a bumper weekend of rugby action.

Finally this season we have the End of Season dinner on 17th May for all senior teams, old farts and U18s. As ever its a perfect way to round off the season so make sure you get your payments in by May 10th.

Right - that's it from me. I'm off to Malta to help Mrs Badger with some hip young-person party with Annie Mac........... no I don't know who she is either!

Big Love

Badger
