A no-loss weekend!

Hullo ye mighty Dons!

Apologies for the lateness of the early week missive. It has been a series of calamitous days in the world of us Badgers.

Anyways - wow what a weekend. Really great to have sooo many teams at home on Saturday and a really cracking party in the evening.
Top marks go to Shaun and team for a very efficient bar post-match and a really great atmosphere in the evening.

SO - onto the rugby.

Well the 1st XV produced a solid performance to run out 43-0 over Westcliffe. The match report can be found here - and there are a few good pictures up online as well.
Thoughts and sympathies are with skipper Dylan Flashman who gained a pretty horrific jaw injury which required surgery.
Everyone at the club sends you their very best for a speedy recovery pal!

The 2nd XV were also against Westcliffe and ran our 67-5 winners - really demonstrating the strength in depth that the 1s and 2s are showing at present.

The other game for the men's section was the Strollers taking on Battersea Ironsides in a one-sided affair which saw the Dons come out 85-0 victors.

The final game of the afternoon saw Wimbledon's Ladies XV draw 22-22 with Teddingtonin, at times, torrential conditions.

So a no-loss Saturday. Always looks good on the boards.

Now - onto this weekend!

The main event is the 1st XV playing league leaders Tonbridge Juddians away in the replay of the game cancelled two weeks ago.
Once again we would really like to see a very strong contingent of supporters going to Tonbridge to cheer the lads on in this massive game for the club.
The game has a 2.30pm kick off and direct trains to Tonbridge leave at these times: 1045, 1145 and 1245.
Lets have a really big crowd down there.

The 2nd XV will be playing Ealing at home at 1pm if you cant face the journey.

6 Nations

For those interested in watching the 6N - the clubhouse will be open for pretty much all of the games I am told. Call ahead for late Sunday/ Friday kick offs but for the entire tournament the club house is open.
So spend those hard-earned readies there please.

Quiz Night
Right - you may have seen a few posters about the clubhouse for the up coming quiz night.
This is taking place on Feb 24th. Tickets are £15pp and includes food.
The kick off time is 7.30pm and there are some serious prizes involved.
It would be great to have a senior mens or ladies team involved.

Right - that's enough from me.
I'm off to erase the CCTV files from Saturday night before any committee members get hold of them to save numerous people's dignity.

See you Saturday!

Big Love

Badger
