A successful weekend all round!

Volunteers at Wimbledon RFC enjoyed the annual club clean up this weekend. The sun shone brightly and we had a steady stream of volunteers through the weekend ranging from a core of Women's players, u21 players, minis and youth parents and club exec. Some stayed for the whole weekend, others gave up as much time as they could - we are grateful for all!

We had three main jobs to make headway with over the weekend and we made a great dent on all of them. These were: painting radiators/door frames/doors/corridors/benches in the old changing room corridor and men's loos, some groundwork to pitch 8 and sanding/varnishing our indoor and outdoor table and chairs.
We also had a lot small jobs to be completed which we just never quite got round to doing during the season (fixing toilet doors, putting up pegs in the clubhouse lobby etc); it was great to tick them off the list!

As I type this, I notice I still have a great deal of paint on my fingernails so I better sort that out! Please do try and keep the weekend free for 2019, it is a really valuable opportunity for the club.

Thank you to all of those who came down and offered their time. Until next year.
