This Saturday sees the Wimbledon 2's back home at the BMRC. We welcome close neighbours London Cornish to our club in what is touted to be an epic battle.
Both teams are tied on the table with only points difference separating them so it's a winner takes all battle on the cards. The 'Dons come off a last minute loss to League leaders Richmond spoiling their unblemished record, with Cornish having a postponement against Guildford last weekend. Both will be keen to get back to winning ways.
A wily pack with the likes of dynamic duo Ellis "DJ Bubblegum Pop" Morgan and "Mo Money, Mo ......." Sheikh propping up Joe Clapson in the front row. "Iron" Mike Wood and Phil Osbourne lock it all out with an international flavour back row of James Hunt, Charlie McKibben and captain Dave Wayman holding fort.
The backline is one of the strongest that Wimbledon have put out for many years with a solid half back pairing of Ben Newman and Henry "howitzer" Dewing. Aaron Hopkins and Jack "twinkletoes" Reville shore up the midfield with Sam Codling, Tommy "gasman" Moore and Dan Cheers providing back 3 leadership.
A team with plenty of potential and ability to get the job done. Will it translate into a W come Saturday??? Only they know....
They will have to keep an eye over their shoulder however as there a few terriers chomping at the bit to get onto the park. Ben "my knee, my hamstring" Brooks, Dan "i've got banter" Bamford, Tom "let me loose" Anderson and Aidan o'Brien support the forwards, whilst Regan "property magnate" Botham, Jack "silent assasin" Blackmore and new arrival Scott Meakin make up the backline arsenal.
