Off the back of the recent appointments of Leon Driscoll as Head Coach and Chris Wilkins as DOR I am super excited to announce the arrival of Jack Heighton.

Jack is a New Zealand-born coach and former professional player.

Having spent six years with North Harbour, and being part of the Blues squad in 2020, Jack had two seasons with Rugby New York before retiring at 24 to move into coaching.

Jack became Head Coach with the East Coast Bays Premier side last season, having previously coached his first season as an assistant. His coaching philosophy centres around building strong relationships and helping players grow both on and off the field.

Jack will be our Lead skills coach and assistant backs and attack coach. Whilst his primary focus will be the mens squad, as with all our coaches, he buys into and supports the wider club priorities of pathway and development for all players. He's looking forward to getting started and adding to the great work already done by the team.
