A jolly exciting roundup

Good Day to you Ye Mighty Dons!

Well there is a fair bit of news for you on this brisk Tuesday - so let's go through the weekly run down!
Saturday saw the 1st XV travel to Shelford for their away fixture where they came up against an injury-ravaged Shelford team. This led to an inevitable Wimbledon win 6-62. You can read Terry Bagworth's match report here.
The 2nd XV welcomed Jersey Athletic to Beverley Meads and, even after a hard fought game where the boys in claret and blue really showed their colours, they unfortunately went down 18-27.
The 3rd XV travelled to Richmond to play the Richmond Jutes 5th XV. Again this was anther brave performance which unfortunately resulted in a Wimbledon defeat 21-35.
Finally those old lags of the Strollers had their first run out, away to Old Blues to play their 2nd XV. Again another hard fought spirited display which unfortunately ended in a Don's defeat 22-12.

So the 1st XV continue their march back up and the surrounding mens teams continue to improve. Keep going all round.

This Saturday sees 4 teams at home including the 1st XV - and as usual we will be having a supporters lunch. £15 for great company and great food. Do bring yourself and your mates along. For places drop me a line prior to Thursday!

OK onto mega massive club social news.......... alright it's not my finest heading but who cares.

So as revealed last week - FIREWORKS NIGHT is back at WRFC on Saturday 27th October. Tickets will be £10 for adults, £% for children (pre-schoolers free) and £25 for a family ticket (2 adults + 2 children / 1 adult + 3 children).

Now for the adults only we have the Wimbledon RFC City lunch back again this year on 30th November. If you went last year - you will know the format - drinks followed by amazing three course lunch with a guest speaker. This year, as last year it will be held at Brasserie Blanc near Waterloo and the guest speaker will be the legendary Jason Leonard. We advise that you book in groups to fill up tables easier. Tickets will be priced at £90. See the flyer attached for further info.

So that's my jolly exciting round up for today.

See you Saturday.

Big Love

Badger
