Thanks for all your help. Saturday night was a very special night for me with all my family and friends. Everyone said the venue and the setup and the food was amazing. They all really enjoyed it. I had the most wonderful time. I would highly recommend the clubhouse for parties as the venue is big enough to hold so many people but small enough for it to be an intimate gathering.

60th party Oct 25
We recently celebrated our 60th birthday at WRFC and couldn’t have been happier! Karen from the Events Team was absolutely fantastic — her attention to detail, support with preparations, and coordination with the outside marquee company made the whole process so smooth. The bar staff were friendly, professional, and kept everything running perfectly on the night. The venue itself was ideal for our celebration. Highly recommended for anyone planning a special event!

The wedding was absolutely magical – I truly, really loved it. It was the best day of my life, and I’m so grateful to you for the amazing place and time we had at the clubhouse. Everything came together beautifully, and it wouldn’t have been the same without your venue.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Karen for all the help from you and your team for our event yesterday. The venue worked very well for us and everything went so smoothly, from our initial chats working out the details, to the actual day. Manu, Jayden and Gabriella were great on the day, so friendly and helpful. It’s been a real pleasure working with you on our event and as our Wimbledon office is pretty nearby, I’m sure we will be back again in the future.

It really was a blessing not to have to worry about the logistics of the wake as you both were so accommodating and understanding . So many guests commented on what an excellent venue it was, and how well they had been looked after by your staff .

50th birthday party August 25
A big thank you to Wimbledon RFU for an amazing 50th birthday celebration. Couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Our guests loved it for the easy access, parking and the great space to just socialise, drink and watch the big match (Liverpool vs Arsenal) on the day.!! The kids had a really great time playing games and running around the fields. Jaden and his team looked after our guests really well. His team were attentive, friendly and so helpful especially with our decorations (setting up and removing them!!) We really appreciate their flexibility in getting all the details right to make it the best we could for Cindy!
To top it up the weather held up for us and we were able to enjoy the sun in the patio area which had plenty of seats and tables. All our guests really enjoyed the venue and I think the Clubhouse may have some potential new customers!!!"

25th Wedding Anniversary August 25
10/10 – we couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our 25th wedding anniversary. We’ve been to many events at the club over the years, but this was the first time we’ve booked it personally, and it was absolutely the right choice.
The space is fantastic, with big bi-fold doors opening out onto a south-facing patio overlooking Beverley Meads. Guests loved making the most of the fabulous afternoon sun-baked patio and enjoyed an amazing sunset.
The buffet was spot on, plenty of choice and really good quality. Drinks and conversations flowed easily, and guitarist Tim Sky kept everyone entertained, adding a great atmosphere to the evening.
A special mention to Karen, who was brilliant from start to finish. Her meticulous planning and attention to detail made sure everything was in place with Jayden managing the day making sure everything ran smoothly.
All of our guests commented on what a great venue it is, and we honestly couldn’t have had a better celebration. Highly recommended.

Wedding party August 25
So many of our guests asked where and how we found this amazing venue – they couldn’t believe that it was a working rugby club! With the greenery from the rugby pitches and the common, it’s hard to believe it is in London. Thank you for taking such thorough notes of all my many emails to create a such a detailed outline of the day. This really meant that the team at the club were able to run the day so smoothly. A huge thank you also for accommodating requests that even we weren’t aware of because the surprise FIREWORKS really added the cherry on the top to a fabulous day.
The club being such a blank canvas made it so very special for us to be able to make it our own. Your offer to provide us with a whole weekend means you stand out from other venues and meant we could spend the day before with friends and family decorating and giggling. Both the club manager and assistant manager were very helpful throughout the weekend.
A huge thank you to everyone involved – it was an amazing day and that’s thanks to you!

Hindu Wedding Ceremony August 25
The clubhouse was perfect! Everyone was complimenting how great of a venue it was. There was space for the kids to enjoy themselves outside, the men who didn’t want to sit through the ceremony could hang out on the terrace and the chairs and tables were perfect.
You were an absolute pleasure to work with, super informative and respectful to our customs and traditions. On the day everything went smoothly and I can only put that down to how well you listened to our wishes and executed them to perfection.
Thank you so so much. It was the perfect way to kickstart all the wedding festivities

We had a wonderful afternoon thank you! The venue was perfect and met all our needs.
On the day Manu, and all the bar staff were extremely helpful. They were thoughtful, considerate, efficient and helpful, which really meant everything was taken care of. The venue was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The booking process was also very thorough and efficient - thank you!

We had such a brilliant time at the clubhouse celebrating my son’s birthday! The whole process — from booking to the day of the event — was incredibly smooth and stress-free. Corporate summer party July 25
We had a fantastic time hosting our summer social at Wimbledon Rugby Club. The space was perfect for our event, from playing rounders on the field to enjoying a BBQ and live band, everything came together with ease. It was a real treat to have a drink in hand while watching the sun set over the grounds too. The staff were incredibly helpful and the whole day ran smoothly. A perfect spot for a summer celebration. Just wanted to send my huge thanks to you, Manu, Barry and the bar staff. They were all absolutely brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful. I had a fantastic night as did my family and friends. Thanks to you too for your help and support. Even the weather played ball and it didn’t rain. It was the perfect evening. It really is a great venue for a party. I think there might be a few more bookings on their way.

First Communion June 25
We used the venue for my daughter’s holy communion, the staff were amazing and our whole family had a great time. The staff looked after our guests wonderfully. This is a great venue for entertaining!

We had the best night & the weather was perfect. Karen was really helpful from start to finish and made the booking very easy for us. The venue itself was fantastic & we certainly made use of the terrace area on the night. The bar staff were brilliant, they served our guests quickly & politely with a smile on their faces whilst wearing sombreros :-).
Once again, thank you for everything, we really did have such a brilliant night & we would definitely use the venue again for any future parties.

Merton Council Fundraiser June 25
Wimbledon RFC was the perfect venue for our local fundraising event. The staff were incredibly helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly, all while keeping our budget in mind to maximize the funds raised. On a warm summer’s evening, there are few better places to be in Wimbledon.

What a day!
I would highly recommend using the Wimbledon rugby club. I chose this venue for my 50th birthday and it was the best decision ever. From the first meeting with the party coordinator at the beginning to discuss the event, I knew I had made the right choice. Everyone was so helpful and helped make my day exactly what I wanted it to be. The venue was great, the space was laid out as requested and the staff were friendly and helpful on the day. I can't fault anything about the venue or the staff. Everything was clean and perfect and the drinks were really reasonable so everyone was happy. Thank you Wimbledon Rugby Club for making my 50th really special!

We were delighted how the party went, it was such fun having friends and family young and not so young partying. The club staff were amazing and Manu’s curry has been described as simply delicious in thank you letters we’ve received and in person by those I have seen since.

Thank you for checking in, we had a fantastic time on Sunday – the venue was the perfect space for our baby shower as there was enough room for people to sit inside and out, kids were able to run around and play games outside and we also had plenty of room for our baby shower games! I’d also like to add that I was really impressed with the staff, they were so friendly, professional and happy to help with anything we asked. It really contributed to a wonderful day.

60th Party August 24
We had the most amazing night thank you. We couldn't have asked for better weather, which allowed the gorgeous venue to come into it's own. Everyone commented on what a wonderful spot it was.

We held my daughter’s 1st birthday at Wimbledon RFC. It’s a great venue with a blank canvas that you can do so much with! The team from start to finish were all amazing. Karen was great to communicate with and answered all my questions (which I had a lot of). The team on the day were also great and super friendly,especially the team manager. I had lots of lovely feedback from the guests.
I would highly recommend!

Corporate Summer Party - Howdens Insurance - June 24
Every year we hold our Summer Party at Wimbledon Rugby and Football club. As always, this year we had a great time.
Karen was in touch with me numerous times before the event, and everything ran very smoothly. The only thing we couldn’t book was the weather, but the atmosphere in the bar and later the club DJ made up for that!
Manu and his staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Due to the rain, the bar was busier than usual, but they were quick and efficient, and no one had to wait to be served.
The outside space is fabulous, we had outside entertainment and a BBQ catering company.

School Sports Day May 2024
The Rowans School had a very happy and successful day for their annual Sports Day, which ran smoothly in all aspects from the booking to the event day. We look forward to continuing our community links with the club. Thank you to all at WRFC.

Celebration of Life May 2024

It was the perfect venue, everyone enjoyed the space and the drapes and lighting looked very nice. Staff at the bar and venue were very friendly and Manu was super helpful. We will be back soon, have to find an excuse to party again :)

Local Sports Club AGM March 24
The Wimbledon Windmilers club was happy to visit the Wimbledon Rugby Football Club again for our Annual General Meeting this year. It suits us to use a sports venue for our meeting. The venue has the necessary seating, tables and audiovisual equipment, and provision of food and drink was easy. The bar creates a social atmosphere that means our guests lingered to socialise after the formalities. The booking and payment process was straightforward, with prompt and clear communications throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you to the team at WRFC!

New Years Eve Party Dec 23
Our party at Wimbledon Rugby Club was a great success. We held a large gathering with three families and friends across a wide age range... young people from age 18 through to a group of over 60’s. Karen was really helpful with the booking and was as flexible as possible in terms of giving us the perfect event for our group. The venue is large enough to cater for a spacious seating area as well as a big dance floor. The bar area is huge too.
The team on the night were fantastic, warm and welcoming to us and all our guests, also incredibly hard working throughout the night. Thank you Manu for looking after us so well.
I would thoroughly recommend the venue, the facilities are great and the team there are superb.

New Years Eve Party Dec 23
We had our NYE at the clubhouse and it was a fabulous event – the venue is perfect for 150-200 and the staff were amazing . Manu and his team went over and beyond. Numbers fluctuated over the period of December – and having kept Manu updated he had the perfect number of staff behind the bar – there were no queue times when getting drinks ! We were able to go in with our own decorations and personalise it too. All in all fabulous ! would definitely rebook

Office Christmas Party Dec 23
‘We hired the Wimbledon Rugby Football Club for our annual office Christmas party on 1st December 2023. Karen was extremely helpful and professional prior to the event with helping us ensure we had everything we needed and with answering any questions we had about the venue. Manu and Rob behind the bar on the night were wonderful, they were really friendly, helpful and quick with making the drinks, and they ensured everyone was happy! We opted for buffet-style food, which came out in 3 servings every 30 minutes, which really worked for us to ensure everyone was fed and food was always hot! We also hired the star lite curtains from the club for the evening that really made the club fit for a party, we highly recommend hiring the Wimbledon Rugby Football Club for your parties and events, we will be back for sure! ’

The room looked great and everyone enjoyed our event. Ruth was extremely helpful and looked after us during the event - she was very accommodating. The tables and chairs were all beautifully laid out. We would definitely recommend the venue to other people - it was perfect for us! A lot of our guests were impressed with the hall - you may have some more customers coming your way! Thank you for all the help!

Surprise 40th Birthday Party - August 2023
I organised a surprise birthday party for my husband and we had a wonderful time - despite the English weather not playing ball! But which really didn't matter in the end as the venue is light and airy. The team were incredibly helpful both before the event when they put me completely at ease in organising the various elements and suppliers, and during the event when they went above and beyond in their attentiveness and ensuring a good time was had by all. The food was excellent and plentiful and I would certainly recommend the venue to others for a variety of occasions.

Thanks so much again for all your help in organising Karen, and a particular thank you to Manu who was very attentive and generally brilliant on the day.

The team were really excellent – very helpful, going above and beyond to help make the evening go well, and friendly and courteous at all times, even when we were probably outstaying our welcome at the end! All in all we couldn’t fault them or the venue in any way.

Willington School Year 6 Summer Party - June 2019
BIGGEST and WARMEST thanks for everything you did to make our party such huge success. Everyone (boys, parents, teachers, siblings) LOVED it. It was a blast. The venue looked so special with the table cloths, the gazebo's, the sofas on the terrace, the drinks table etc and everyone loved the food. It was so special that you laid out the Brownies and cakes onto the large boards - they looked really lovely. So many of the guests only knew the rugby club as a Sunday morning rugby club and were so pleasantly surprised to experience it as a special event venue.

Please pass on my thanks to both the bar staff that night too - they worked so hard all night and were extremely helpful.

Please can we say a HUGE thank you to the team in the kitchen and bar area for the most fantastic party last night at the Club.

It really was a perfect evening - the weather was glorious, the BBQ food absolutely delicious and the drinks and I was delighted with it all and told the Chef and his assistant so several times!
